Dear Friends:
Oh, that hormones would be enough! As Kathy Lilleskov points out, our
human brains are way too complex.
How many moms have I worked with that hate s2s or won't do it? How many
moms have I worked with that wean after days and weeks of hard work to
recover breastfeeding, because of a scheduled vacation or just not wanting to keep
bf? Too many, that is certain.
The ability to override the influence of hormones may lead to the
downfall of our species, as we are fouling our own nest (our beautiful Earth),
undermining the exquisitely orchestrated hormonal cascade that is birth, and
accepting artificial feeding.
