I know i have said it before, but I have found with deep, open wounds at
the base of the nipple it is often necessary to wear a shell to keep the
wound OPEN between feedings so it can heal from the base up...along with
APNO.

It is strange, though, that the other side is starting up. Does the
nipple/areola look hot-pink? If so, a trial of gentian violet 1/2% would be
in order. Is baby clenching to slow a high supply? Any craniosacral
therapist in your area to look at assymmetry of the mouth?

sounds like a tough one---good luck.
