This recollection by Tim McGraw is fairly true! I met Tug McGraw at a Baby
Expo several years ago. He was the "celebrity" guest for a bank, if I recall
correctly, and his table was just across from our LLL table. He approached
us ( I guess he knew what LLL was all about!) and asked us if we knew why he
was called "Tug". Of course, we took the bait...he was quite an amiable and
outgoing guy! He proceeded to tell us that his mother thought he was a
really "strong" nurser, to say the least, and she thought that "little tugger"
suited him because of that. I don't remember him mentioning the "tugging at her
heart" part, but maybe he was embellishing for us a little! I think he was
enjoying working the crowd. Either way, it was a great plug for
breastfeeding!
