Dear Friends:
Hand expression might be the best way for a field worker to collect
milk. It would not be any dirtier microbiologically than a pump (how can the
mother clean either), and her milk would have antibodies to whatever she has been
exposed to, and what she brings home in her hair and on her skin to her baby.
