After the birth of my first daughter I had terrible cracked, bleeding and
painful nipples. I remember a bit of advise I picked up at a LLL meeting,
all student nurses in their OB rotation were required to attend at least 2
meetings in a series, about sunshine for sore nipples so I thought, why
not? I was living in Puerto Rico and had more than enough sunshine so I
tried it and darned if the nipples finally heal after 3 long weeks.
I have given this piece of anecdotal advise, especially to thrush Moms,
for years.
