I don't know whether it's possible to be formal about it, but I would 
*love* it if every birthing mom called me soon after discharge, or even 
before.  Of course, ideally they have all been to an LLL mtg *before* 
birth in order to help them identify as nursing moms!

The alternative is hearing from them a week or two pp, and having to 
deal with a train wreck rather than a tune-up.
