Personally I believe the increase is due to the fact that we are into the
2nd and 3rd generation of non breastfed women, we know it protects mother
and daughter to breastfeed for a "normal" amount of time. Now we are
reaping the harvest of formula feeding. Better testing leads to more prompt
diagnosis. But I still think the fact that we are seeing younger and
younger women has to do with the length of "any" breastfeeding. Two to six
weeks won't cut it.
Are Breast Cancer rates changing around the world as breastfeeding
declines? It will happen to non breastfeeding mothers first and then the
non breastfed daughters later on, I would think.
BTW-I don't want to get into a vaccine argument, but the women getting
breast cancer today got a minimum of vaccinations.
