Hey there,
I have not found any association, mostly because I don't use the medication
when trying to help moms with PCOS improve their milk supply. I have not
used reglan in ages because of those severe depression and fatigue symptoms.
Reglan works by increasing prolactin levels, prolactin isn't really the
issue in PCOS-- it's mostly an insulin issue. With insulin resistance
present, and because insulin and prolactin work closely with milk
production, increasing prolactin without fixing the insulin resistance will
do very little. Even with Domperiodne, I have had little success until we
have helped mom regulate her insulin levels with something like Metformin.
Sounds as if mom and baby are doing poorly on the medication and may be
better off without it.
