To add to the list of anesthesia misinformation....... I saw a woman in Day Surgery today who was told (She cannot remember by whom, maybe her surgeon) that if she breastfed within 36 hours after getting general anesthesia her baby could die! I copied current information (Thanks Kelly mom) and told her it was her decision, but I think, after that scare, she will not breastfeed. Interesting side note, I assisted this surgeons' wife with nursing, after having general anesthesia for her cesarean. 

Dianne in Florida, looking forward to my Minnesota vacation tomorrow. Sometimes it gets very tiring to constantly be correcting misinformation without disrespecting the other person, and HCP not respecting our expertise.
