Dear All Who Haven't Gone to Philly:
I'm working with a mother who has been using domperidone for five weeks
with remarkable results. She had a very low supply with a fussy baby.
She was unable to breastfeed her first baby due to low supply. With
domperidone, she is now exclusively nursing. The mom gets migraines and
sees a doctor for some other health conditions, including high blood
pressure. An EKG showed that she had a "prolonged QT wave" and her
cardiologist demands that she stop the domperidone immediately or she will
wind up with a permanent arrhythmia. Has anyone heard of heart rhythm
problems resulting from domperidone? The mom has three more weeks of
domperidone and she would like to continue, but is not sure what to do.
