Good Morning, All!: I saw on the national news this morning as I was
getting ready for work that researchers have "discovered" that skin-to-skin
care with preemies in the NICU actually increased the quality of their
sleep over that in an incubator! Imagine that! Something about babies
sleeping upright on mother's chest... Of course, the video clips they
showed were all of preemies in incubators, nary a bare chest in sight.
Regarding the new growth charts. I wonder who is going to pay for the
charts in order to get them into the pediatricians' offices. After all,
the formula companies have absolutely no issues with providing offices with
as many as needed of the "bottlefeeding" charts supplied by their company
for free.
Enough DUH! sarcasm for this Monday morning!
