This topic has been discussed in some detail on lactnet, check the
archives. It is my understanding that, in general, it is best to
postpone mammograms until several months after weaning. If that is
not possible, it is best to make sure you have a radiologist who has
a lot of experience reading mammograms of nursing mothers. One should
not have to wean in order to have a mammogram.
