To all you wise ones,
Hi, I have been out of site for awhile as I have gone back to school for my BSN.
I have just finished a course in Legalities and I am wondering how we as a group
can make a request for a bill to be passed regarding formula being fed
indiscriminately in the nurseries. Every Breastfeeding meeting I attend this is
the #1 complaint of all the L.C.s. Why do we seem to be slamming our heads on
the will all the time. I believe it is out of control & I know no-one listens to
just one person. I had a Ped. last week tell the nursery to feed the baby
bottles because the baby lost 13 oz. Needless to say this mom had enough milk
that morning to feed 3 babies in the nsy. I thought I would have a coronary. no
one looks at the whole picture. The baby was having ++ milk transfer.
I was doing a research paper for my class and discovered a representative in NYS
that is for passing BF laws. Her name is Carolyn B. Maloney.
Any suggestions????
