For Linda in Chicago, I would suggest contacting a M----- rep (or any
other pump company of your choice) and get the refrigerator magnet that
tells how long you can use fresh, refrigerated or frozen breastmilk. My
clients love it and it has the times found to be safe in the latest
research. M----- has a Breastfeeding Information Guide with wonderful
illustrations to help mothers visualize how to handle early difficulties
and the 800 number where the caller can find LC's to consult with for
significant problems. This is a freebie to hospitals. There are other
products listed in the B.I.G., but I like mothers to know that there are
a host of things they may find useful, just like the wall of bottle sets
at the local big box store.
