NO you didn't wander off too far. I was just looking at an older bottle of Similac and I noticed it did have the soy products in it before. Thank you for the clarification.

Even though soy oil and soy lecithin (the sources of soy in Similac, for example) are *typically* not problems for those with soy allergies (the protein is the usual offender), the presence of soy must still be pointed out. Only those products manufactured since January 1, 2006, will have these "warnings", so older products may be formulated exactly the same but were labeled under different requirements. I hope I've not wandered too far off-topic in answering the Similac/soy question .
