Re: Tatura Formula (aka Artificial Baby Milk)
Artificial Baby Milk (ABM) has been proven, through research, to be harmful
to infants; it increases the risk of mortality and morbidity. In addition
to the common risks of feeding ABM to innocent infants, you should consider
that the risks would be greatly increased where disasters make it virtually
impossible to use ABM correctly when clean water, refrigeration, and heating
of the product are almost nonexistent.
Why would you want to distribute it to areas where disasters have struck?
Oh, I forgot, you gave your reason in the piece: Formula Deal for Tatura
(County News, June 19, 2006). You lost a production plant in Indonesia due
to an earthquake and you want to "make up the shortfall.recover overheads
and margins, adding value for shareholders." Of course! How silly of me
not to realize that it's always the bottom line: the almighty buck. Right?
Who cares about the lives and health of the infants involved; the
shareholders are more important. Do you sleep well at night knowing the
harm you are causing for infants?
