KUALA LUMPUR: A woman was believed to be breastfeeding her three-year-old daughter when they were buried alive by a massive landslide in Kampung Pasir in Hulu Klang on Wednesday (May 31, 2006.
Both Hayati Mohd Yunus, 24, and her daughter Helina were found by recuers this morning (June 2, 2006) in an embrace position that suggested that she was breastfeeding her daughter when death struck them.
(that's the entire reference to breastfeeding)
This story made me remember another recent story, that I had posted to Lactnet, after the earthquake in India in October 2005:http://www.catholicnews.com/data/stories/cns/0505770.htm
"Her 1-month-old daughter died in her arms when the roof of her house collapsed while she was breast-feeding."

With all due respect... it's mentioned because it's a poignant detail....
that's what reporters look for. :-)
