Jean, don't feel bad about your approach to this mother. I wish everyone in
the health field had the same approach and attitude. There are some but we
need everyone (I'll even take a majority).
Telling a mother that her expressed milk along with her holding and caring
for her premature baby is a medicine, is the truth and well founded.
No one can make a mother breastfeed or pump but we all can certainly tell
them this is the only way to help their babies.
Keep up the great work. You never know, one of these moms you work with
might just find breastfeeding her premature baby enjoyable too.
