Saline inflation is sometimes used in the fetish/extreme body
modification crowd. Of course, the results are very temporary. If it
was done in a non-sterile unsafe manner with resulting infection, it
might have long-term effects.
Micro-injections of silicone are advertised for wrinkles and
depressed scars by various cosmetic surgery outfits, so there is a
product on the market, but the FDA doesn't approve it for cosmetic
purposes. One newspaper reported several years ago that liquid
silicone breast injections are being performed in Florida and other
areas illegally, often at "pumping parties":
