Dear Friends,
I'm asking your forgiveness for paraphrasing in yesterday's post. I know
better. It does a disservice to the original author as well as you the
readers. I blame it on having a cold and a fuzzy head. The quote re soy
protein is, "Sears' The Breastfeeding Book, p. 75 says: 'Studies show that
30 grams of a soy protein supplement a day can produce a 25 percent
increase in the volume of a mother's milk.'" Sanna-Mari went on to "wonder
which studies." I would also like to know that. The responses that she
received did not come up when I did the search in the archives and I don't
have a copy of Dr. Sears' book to review his bibliography. If anyone has
that information, please email me off list. Thank you.
Kathy Bowers, RN, IBCLC
