Kellie,
Not sure where you live, I attended UCLA for their CLE and have been
impressed by the support and education they offered throughout the process.
They offer them in numerous lcoations usually and I actually took my son
with me some days because he still nursed quite frequently at almost one
year of age. There were plenty of infants in teh room, just bring a tape
recorder so if you have to step out for a sec. you do not miss the info. I
also had my mother with me one afternoon to help with Steven. Actually was
nice because we saw different babies in the class actually latch and the
difference between a newborn latch and a toddler say. If you asprire to be
an IBCLC I recommend their course to give you a fundamental base. But if it
is not feasible, then that is understandable as well.
