Jean, I admire what you did.  It did not seem heavy-handed to me and you
helped the baby.  It is wonderful that the pediatrician saw things the same
way you did and insisted that the mom express milk for the premie - if more
physicians would admit the value of breastfeeding, or at least breastmilk,
for babies, things would be so different.  There would probably be very few
women who would not do what is best for their children if physicians would
stand up for that.  Physicians do not realize what a strong influence they
have in the decision-making process, even though we know it doesn't always
work.

Please think about repeating what you did, I'm sure in a gentle and
respectful way.  Think about how much good was accomplished for that baby
and can be repeated in the future.
