Lisa asks:
<<Surprisingly, they give different recipes! The first one (at
asklenore.info) is the same as the one on Dr. Jack Newman's website
(www.drjacknewman.com). Does anyone know the history of the different
recipes? Are people consistently using the one currently on his
website?>>
I started using the "cheap person's" (AKA Jan Barger's CHEAP Nipple Ointment
) probably 8 or 10 years ago after asking my dh, the pharmacist, if it would
be OK. I use a dab of hydrocortisone, a dab of antifungal and a dab of
antibacterial oinment mixed together and applied to the nipples. Bob thought it
would be fine, so I tried it and found that it worked very nicely.
Tom Hale talked about doing the same thing at last year's ILCA conference,
though he called it Tom Hale's Cheap APNO or something like that....
Nice to have it verified by someone famous.
