The only thing I
read on Hale's site was it would probably be ok to resume breastfeeding 2
weeks after the last treatment but there is no research to back this up. Of
course the oncologist is telling her no way.
Dear Friends:
If chemotherapy is used during pregnancy, how can it be prohibited
during breastfeeding?
I am interested in evidence supporting the use of chemotherapy during
pregnancy. My understanding is that it attacks fast growing cells; a baby is
nothing but a bundle of fast growing cells. However, we are in a new era. Does
anyone have information about this?
