 From all the different recollections of the gorilla (or was it  
orangutan) who couldn't nurse, I wonder if it hasn't happened more  
than once. I heard the story at the National Zoo in Washington DC.  
and I think it was orangutan, but I'm not sure.

For what it's worth, I looked it  up on snopes.com (the urban legend  
website) and there's no entry for it there, at least not under the  
keywords I tried.
