Liz,

Thanks so much for the pat on the back, and that very current journal
article reference also.

Debbie Albert has decided to focus on her nursing school alma mater to help
train the next generation of lactation advocates -- to which I say, hip hip
hooray!

This approach is agressively and energetically advocated by a member of my
local ILCA affiliate, Diane Spatz, PhD, RNC, who teaches at the Univ of PA
Nursing School. She feels *all* members of a mother's health care team
should be in a position to provide BF information and support -- esp. the
"bedside nurse."

She has several published articles -- a recent gem is "Report of a staff
program to promote and suppport BF in the care of vulnerable infants at a
children's hospital," Journal of Perinatal Education, Winter 2005 Vol 14 No.
1 pp 30-41.
