I wanted to comment on the "nipple rape" term. I personally find it to be
extremely offensive. No one (whether their taching technique is good or
not) intends to hurt the mother when they are demonstarting breastfeeding.
Now, I grant you that many have not learned the proper way to do this and
many mothers are shown incorrectly. That is not the point of my post.
The term "nipple rape" is completely inappropriate. As another poster
pointed out, rape denotes something totally different. Uncomfortable or
inappropriate touch is a far more useful term to describe this.
