Dear all:

I don't know if you have encountered this in your area, but I am tearing my hair out. I saw a mom
today who had seen a so-called lactation consultant who showed her a certificate. Mom is not sure
about what certificate she was shown. I do always try to take the information moms provide me
about other LCs with a grain of salt. This one, however, takes the cake. This mother was rented a
Medela Pump In Style. Apparently, this LC buys the Pump In Styles and distributes these around. Not
only did she rent the Pump In Style for a fee, but this poor mom of a premie was told she had to give
it back and was given an even older dirtier model because someone else needed a newer model.

This is really beyond the pale. I won't get into the train wreck dangerous situation she created for
this mother and baby which are even worse than the Pump In Style rental.

Best regards, Susan Burger
