I want to add that I do not mean stockpile to mean a months worth of milk.
(Though I do know women who were 'stockpiling' so they could wean at an earlier
age and atill have breastmilk to use.) I am only talking about storing for
the first couple of days back to work and only having a few extra 'just in
case' bottles just as Pam Hirsch suggests in her post. Moms just seem to feel
better knowing they have milk on hand. It relieves the stress of wondering
what if they can't express enough at work, or what if they find they miss a
pumping, etc.
Take care,
Pam MazzellaDiBosco, IBCLC, RLC
