Hi Donna, this looks like a home email- you didn't put your byline...I
hope I'll
see you on Sun....
Since I'm using bottles occasinally with my son, I remember why I never wanted
to use them for my daughter, they just don't look clean after a while. I am
sure that key elements of my milk must stick to the sides- are there
studies on
that? Once he started solids, I found the glass jars so much better- small
beachnut is usually <50 cents! they are "universal threads" as my LLL leader
once said but- actually I haven't found a bottle nipple that fits them- at
least not beachnut, earths best or ?del monte?, I never tried Gerber
jars- that
means that you can't pump directly into them. you can use 2 oz jars
(stage 1)-I
think that hand expression directly into the jar (this is where the wide mouth
helps) must be the most sterile method b/c the milk doesn't touch anything!
mom's could just eat the applesauce then sterilize the bottles- I find it hard
to believe a hospital can not find a source of sterile empty glass bottles!
