Another story to add to this topic.
There is a case report of a 65 year-old Nigerian grandmother that bf 3
of her grandchildren, making good milk 19 years after her last baby was
weaned. The case report doesn't say why she bf; her milk was analyzed and supported
growth of her grandchildren for over 6 months.
The let-down reflex never leaves women, once it has been conditioned. We
also know that some women have milk for decades after they are done nursing.
This is one more way that grandmother energy helps the following
generations.
