Hi Lisa,
I had this dilemma with terminology when I was writing up a foster
breastfeeding case. The difficulty I had with "wet nursing" is that it has
connotations of being a paid job. The other terms that are used are "shared
breastfeeding/nursing" or "cross nursing" I haven't seen the term "surrogate
breastfeeding" used before though I can sympathise with the author's desire
to find another term....that said, I don't like their new one particularly
either! Perhaps some here might have some other suggestions....
