On May 4th Camilla posted twice concerning IBCLC's working in Pharmacies in
"baby clinics" where education and samples were being supplied by ABM
companies. Karleen Gribble and I have recently voiced concerns about
IBCLC's being employed by formula companies. I have contacted IBLCE
concerning this matter and it appears it is being looked into.
May I have YOUR comments PLEASE?

Dear Lactnetters
There is an increasing trend in Australia for nurses to be employed by
pharmacies to run "baby clinics". Does anyone know if there is any
regulation surrounding this? I have had some feedback recently from clients
that formula samples had been given. I also heard that education was being
provided by one of the formula companies??
