I am interested to see the comments on his one..... I am surprised that LLL
would have an endorsement on a product that violated the WHO code. Lansinoh
"used" to be owed by a small company in the US - as I recall. If this is all
true, we will have to stop recommending Lansinoh!

Subject: [LACTNET] Lansinoh is 100% owned by Pigeon
It has come to my knowledge that since April 2004, Lansinoh Laboratories,
Inc., is a 100% owned subsidiary of Japanese company, Pigeon Corporation.
Pigeon is known violator of the International Code of Marketing of
Breast-milk Substitutes.
See this Pigeon Summary of Consolidated Financial Results for Six Months
Ended July 31, 2004 www.pigeon.co.jp/english/data/2004_07_e.pdf
On page 4 of the above document, it states:
(2) Expanding our overseas business
In April 2004, we formed an agreement with Lansinoh Laboratories, Inc., a
prominent U.S. manufacturer of breast-feeding-related products. Under the
agreement, Lansinoh became a wholly owned subsidiary of Pigeon. Our
intention here is to secure new sales channels in the North American market,
where the birthrate continues to rise, and expand sales through the launch
of attractive new breast-feeding-related products.

Pigeon is a known violator of the Code.
Statement of the Code by Company 2004 lists Pigeon, as a manufacturer of
Feeding Bottles and Teats, in "Substantial Violation" in the Code
Requirements of "No promotion to the public"
"No promotion in health care facilities"
"Adequate labels"

It seems that Lansinoh has some type of promotional relationship with LLLI:
