OK, Wise ones, after reading this digest, I feel very stupid! What is
"paced bottle feeding?"
I would try a slow flow nipple and use "paced bottle feeding" with these
babies. This is what all parents and nurses should be taught. The haberman
and pigeon nipples are also expensive.
And, what is "GPB?"
I work in a NICU, and interesingly, we have had several premies (under
32=weeks) of Mom's post GPB Surgery in the past 6 weeks. Their surgery was
2 to 3 years ago. So far, none of them have been able to produce more than
very small amounts of milk despite an excellent pumping schedule (on
Quality breast pump) and kangaroo care when able
Thanking you in advance.
Royce Anderson, RN, IBCLC, RLC, CD (DONA) (or perhaps, I should have
remained anonymous?) Guess that would have been impossible, huh?
