Is the unbathed baby's condition necessary to expose mom to bacteria also,
completing the cycle of producing immunity in the breastmilk?
Dear Friends:
Actually, this is probably what happens, via the enteromammary pathway.
The j-chains of SiG (I hope that is correct) do their thing and put antibodies
in the newborn milk to protect the baby.
The mom ideally shouldn't be washed. And what happens? Her skin is
swabbed with betadine, an iodine-based antibacterial? And now there are gloves and
drapes impregnated with antibacterials................and we have nastier
and nastier bugs.
