Hi All
I have permission to post
I saw a woman who is now 10 days postpartum to-day
Has cracked and bleeding nipples, so has pumped for the last 24 hours to help heal them
When the baby was feeding at the breast in the cross cradle/ rughby hold I heard smacking sound all the time. When the baby came off the nipples were wedged shape/ lipstick shape
did manage did adjust the latch and there was less wedging. but the baby still was making a noise at the breast. Could a short tongue / highish palate cause pain and damage to this degree? I have searched the archives but cant find what Im looking for
mum is also showing signs of bilateral breast infection.
Thankyou in advance for any advice that you can share
