Day Care providers are required to receive a certain number of educational
credits each year. A wonderful gift is to contact your local day cares and
offer to come in during naptime and present a inservice on how to support the
bfing family in a day care setting. It may require you to provide it for free,
but you will then receive the satisfaction of knowing that these babies are
going to be bf for a longer duration, and receive milk correctly. Perhaps this
is a project your community bfing task force can address.
I have presented a session on this topic several times at the regional day
care providers conference. I was a volunteer-received a lovely tote bag and not
pad as a thank you, but I knew it was an important target population.
