Karen, what has been the birth history? Is there a common thread?
I had one mom with sore nipples, baby with a high palate and crossed eyes.
They visited someone who did cranio-sacral massage, and within 3 treatments,
the eyes were no longer crossed and the mother was no longer complaining of
sore nipples. I never looked at the baby's palate after that, but always
wondered if there was something related.
Best wishes,

On assessment of both mother and baby, the common theme with these babies
has been a high narrow palate. I can only assume their previous children
had different shaped mouths as their breastfeeding experiences were quite
pain free.
My advice has centred around a deeper latch, healing of the nipples and
reassurance that this will get better. I would be grateful for any other
words of wisdom.
