I work in a community hospital outside NYC.  We do aprox 2000+ deliveries 
a year.  One thing I have been noticing is we seem to have more moms "hung 
up" on pumping.  I really seem to notice it in any mother with a history 
of anxiety and/or depression.  I think they just don't believe they have 
enough milk unless they can actually "see it".  Our patients come from 
affluent areas (for the most part) and I sometimes wonder- Is the pump 
becoming this generations "wet nurse"?  No research to back up these 
thought just my own observations..

<sigh> I was lazy too...rarely pumped...much easier to just feed the baby.
