I am sure that either my manager or the materials management (central
supply) mgr. gave the information to the formula company. I am also sure that the
formula company rep asked for the information so that they could supply the
"correct" amount of formula.
I am the one who compiles all of the infant feeding information for our
"quality improvement". The information goes to my nurse-manager, who in turn
sends it on to who knows where. It's all about having the right statistics for
the corporation...
Since the formula companies are doing us such a huge favor in giving us free
formula (can you hear the sarcasm in my typing?), what is the problem with
us giving them a few numbers so that they can give us what we need?

1. Now the ABM COs want hospitals to limit the amt of free RTF they use?
What is behind this new concept?
2. Who in your hospital gathers infant feeding data and where is it stored?
On the surface, someone at your hospital gave the info to the formula
company. Not all hospitals monitor infant feeding data. Obviously the
hospital gave them census data.
3. They must also gather data from WIC on how many birth at which hospitals.
