Ginger,
You asked:
"Can anyone give me feedback about Fenugreek to mothers when they
are staying with their sick babies in the hospital as a nutritional
supplement to help increase their milk supply?"
Fenugreek is not recommended for use in moms with sick babies. It
can increase the anticoagulant effect of warfarin, exacerbate asthma,
and have a hypoglycemic effect.
In general.I always ask my moms if they or their babies have diabetes,
asthma or any bleeding disorders.
On a different note: Can someone state what Linda Smiths 5 rules are
About breastfeeding? I don't know that I have ever heard them, and they
Have been alluded to several times here lately.
Thanks!
Linda Hill
