Hi Everyone,
I have a mom on my Kangaroo Mother Care site with the following
problem:
Her first baby was born at 35 weeks, and she breastfed well. In fact the
baby is still nursing at 20 months.
She subsequently fell pregnant, but miscarried that one at 19 weeks
(started bleeding at 16 weeks, and lost the baby at 19 weeks).
She is now 6 weeks pregnant with baby no. 3. I am wondering about
the possibility of her nursing, setting off contractions, but have said
nothing as I don't know enough to advise her, and also she isn't actually
asking for advice re. breastfeeding, just wanting to prepare for KMC.
Thanks for any advice or suggestions you can give me re. how to
handle this.
Thanks lots!
Pat (Cape Town)
