Thanks, Dr Wight, for the explaination. Please forgive my ignorance but
would the hemolysis and jaundice be more severe if the RBCs were entirely
coated with the antibodies? In other words, would you order the indirect
coombs if you are looking for a cause for excessive hemolysis?
