Hi, All: Has anyone ever come across LC/patient ratios? There are
guidelines for nurse/patient ratios in hospitals to assist with staffing as
well as patient safety issues. I'm wondering if any such guideline appears
anywhere for lactation - after all, this also falls under the realm of
patient care and patient contact. I'm aware of the 1 lactation FTE per
1000 deliveries. Appreciate any input.
Have 20 inpatients, 3 SCN moms, and 4 patient phone calls (so far), as well
as mom's support group today.
