I've often heard extended nursers use the comeback to "when he goes to
college" or something like that, as a response to the question "when are you
planning to wean?" I think this skit is the same kind of sense of humour.

I once ran across a how-extended-can-extended-nursing-be discussion among been-there-done-that women and one stated jokingly: ''' You've got to stop once they're 16, becase you (mom) won't be able to run fast enough to catch up when he drives his scooter.''
(Almost all Dutch teens start driving the scooter at 16, scooter being a kind of motorcycle that doesn't require a car-drivers licence, which is not available for under 18s.)
