Great terminology, Pat. We had "Truby King" babies, we've had "Ezzoid
Babies" and now we have "AAP Babies."
One wonders if at any point in their lives these poor little things are
allowed a "lovey" (blankie or other such object). Those used to be
"transitional" love objects that the older baby had. Now they are going to be primary
love objects, but since they can't have them until they are -- ???? -- you
wonder what type of children we are going to create in the next generation.
If any of you heard Nancy Williams speak at the LLL Lactation Specialist
Workshop series (my gosh, she was WONDERFUL -- thank you Nancy!!) you know we
have reason to be afraid for the next generation -- be very afraid.
Sigh.
