We often lament that mothers can't afford to purchase milk, (and are
forbidden from collecting on their own in at least two states), premies
can't get human milk fortifier, etc. While I don't like the idea of a
company making profit off of human milk, it doesn't seem that great strides
are being made in providing breastmilk. There are some wonderful human milk
banks out there, but there aren't enough. It just seems that in the US,
things don't really happen unless money is involved. I'm not sure what the
answer is.
