I think that indeed the baby needs an evaluation that can further identify
oral issues such as posterior tongue tie. The mom should go to an IBCLC,
and should have a plan in the meanwhile to feed the baby, since he is not
latching...and a plan to support her supply. A double pump, hospital
grade, would be useful here, and also some one who is really knowledgeable
regarding oral anatomy would be helpful.... I would find Cathy Genna's
article on tongue ties.....and take a look there. If you go to the
