I have the charts that I think are from Best Start. The ones I have, have
columns for weight loss going from 2-15% so you can easily see where the
baby is and what the "outer limit" would be, meaning the 10% you don't want
them to go past. It has been very handy and we posted these in the nursery
so it would be easy for staff to calculate. I was also going to add that I
have a function on my PDA in the form of a free downloadable program called
Archimedes (I have no financial interest in this program) that has a
conversion function. It will convert either direction for pounds and kg,
celsius and Fahrenheit, inches and centimeters and any number of types of
weights (as in lab weights like nanograms etc.) It's so easy. You put in
what you want to convert from and to and enter the "from" amt and it
converts it instantly. I have used this many times for the pre and post
feed weights which I record in grams, of course. I think Linda's excel
program should work on a PDA as well, since mine has an Excel program. I'd
like to get your spreadsheet, Linda, to test it out.
I will miss seeing you all in Chicago this year. Though it is close to me,
I'm just not going to be able to attend (I am still toying with the thought
of driving up for just one evening, but we'll see.) Have fun, y'all!
Marsha, who got to hear her (14 wk) grandchild's heartbeat for the first
time played by my sil from a sub in Pearl Harbor last week...now how many
Grandma's-to-be can say that!
